Modern rails, priced without the legacy.

Most Sri Lankan gateways make you ask, then charge a monthly fee to reach a decent rate. We publish three numbers, in the order you meet them, and none of them comes with a fee for existing.

  1. Starter: cards up to Rs. 100,000 a month2.29%

Credit and debit cards through the IPG, subsidised by our startup focus to help you get off the ground.

    Where you start
  2. Growth: cards up to Rs. 3,000,000 a month2.49%

Standard pricing on cards. Still cheaper than every published plan in the market, and still no monthly fee.

    As you grow
  3. Enterprise: over Rs. 3,000,000 a monthEnterprise

Speak to a payments specialist. At this size your card mix, chargeback profile and settlement terms move the rate more than volume does.

Our promise

The most money stays in your pocket.

We subsidise your start because we understand that in the beginning things are hard and you cannot yet make money. Where everyone else charges you up front, we take a different view. We are a payments and digital enablement partner with the sole focus of helping you grow, and we earn when you do.

  • A subsidised start: 2.29% on cards while you get off the ground, with no monthly fee to reach it.
  • No monthly fee and no setup fee, so a month with no sales costs you nothing.
  • Every rate is published, and checked against the whole market every month.
  • As you grow, the standard rate stays cheaper than every published plan; above Rs. 3,000,000 a month a specialist prices you against whatever you pay today.

If a published plan ever leaves you with more than we do at your volume, tell us and we will put it right: hello@payments.lk

Rates apply to the volume you process in a calendar month. High-risk categories are priced separately, and we tell you the number before you go live, not after.

The zero-fee promise

Sell nothing this month? Then you owe us nothing.

Every startup has a dead month. Ramadan, the off season, the month your ads stopped working, the month you were rebuilding. A monthly fee does not care about any of that. It comes out whether you traded or not.

We do not have one. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no minimum, no fixed charge per sale. If money does not move, you are not billed. That is the whole policy.

What a monthly fee costs you in a year, before you sell anything

Every startup has bad months. A monthly fee does not care. It is charged whether you traded or not, so it lands hardest on the smallest merchants. Ours does not exist.

No business registration? Professionals apply as themselves.

Doctors, lawyers, accountants, consultants and other licensed professionals trade in their own name, and every other gateway still stops them at the first question: business registration number.

Apply with your NIC and your professional registration, from the SLMC, the Bar Association, CA Sri Lanka or your own body, and we assess you as you are. Register a business later and the account moves across with you.

Apply as a professional

    What you need to apply

  • Your NIC or passport
  • Your professional registration
  • A sentence on what you do
  • A bank account in your own name
  • That is it. No BR, no business plan, no deposit.

How it works

  1. 01

    Open the dashboard

No form and no email. You are looking at the dashboard, with sample numbers in it, before you have told us a single thing.

  2. 02

    Answer by tapping

One question a screen and most of them are a tap. About halfway through we ask for an email and a password so the answers are yours. Everything saves as you go.

  3. 03

    Get your keys

We review it, come back to you on anything missing, and hand over live API keys once you are approved.

Checkout pages

Sell without a website

Build a checkout page for what you sell and share it as a link, a QR code or a button, or open it from your own app. Try all four, in English, Sinhala or Tamil.

For developers

One endpoint, keys on approval.

A REST API with 3D Secure built in, plus SDKs for Node.js, PHP, React Native, iOS, Android and Flutter, and a pay button, if you would rather not write the calls yourself. Sandbox credentials arrive with your application, so you can integrate while underwriting runs. The pricing, the onboarding and the comparison are published in plain text for agents too.

Enterprise

Getting paid is the part everyone talks about. It is rarely the part that breaks you.

A card rate solves one problem. You still have a counter to sell from, stock that never matches the spreadsheet, invoices going out by hand, VAT due at the end of the quarter and payroll on the last working day. We can take those too, and price them the same way we price payments.

Card Present Payments

The same account, across a counter.

One terminal, delivered configured and paired to the till, taking every card at the same rate as your online payments. Everything it takes shows up on the same dashboard.

  • Wireless, prints receipts, scans barcodes
  • Same rate as online, no separate contract

The application asks whether you want any of this. Saying yes costs nothing and does not affect your payments approval.

Our AI assistant answers from the pages on this site and links to its sources.

Is the headline rate really the whole cost?+

For an ordinary local card, yes. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no minimum volume on top of it. Two things are added only when they apply: cards issued outside Sri Lanka cost 1.0% more, and premium issuer cards cost 0.5% more. Both are costs the card networks charge us and we pass them through rather than hiding them in the headline.

Why is the rate cheaper when I am smaller?+

Because starting is the hard part. In the beginning things are hard and you cannot yet make money, so we subsidise your start: 2.29% on cards under Rs. 100,000 a month, with no monthly fee and no setup fee. Where everyone else charges you up front, we take a different view; we are a payments and digital enablement partner whose only focus is helping you grow, and we earn when you do. Above Rs. 100,000 the standard 2.49% still beats every published plan in the market, and past Rs. 3,000,000 a specialist prices you directly.

I have not registered a company. Can I still apply?+

Yes, if you are a licensed professional trading in your own name: a doctor, lawyer, accountant, consultant and the like. Apply with your NIC and your professional registration and we assess you as you are. If you are building a business that will need registering, say so; we walk you through registration and a business bank account as part of onboarding.

How long does approval take?+

Usually a few working days once your application is complete. Incomplete applications are the main thing that slows this down, which is why the form saves as you go.

What happens to the ID and bank details I enter?+

They are encrypted before they are stored and are only read by the team underwriting your application. We do not sell or share them for marketing.
